Competition Terms and Conditions

Eligibility:

The prize offering is open to students currently enrolled at Bream Bay schools, including One Tree Point School, Bream Bay College, Waipu School and Ruakaka School.

Prize winner must be 18 years of age or younger and have parental/guardian consent to participate.

Entry Requirements:

Entries are earned by completing one of the following actions:

1. Donate an auction prize to the One Tree Point School fundraising event.
2. Refer an individual or business who donates an auction prize.
3. Become a cash sponsor for our fundraising event (contact Kerri 021 082 08437 for more details)
4. Refer a 3rd party cash sponsor for the fundraising event (contact Kerri 021 082 08437 for more details).
5. Purchase a minimum of one raffle ticket ($10) at any participating school in Bream Bay.

The value of your sponsorship or donation is divided into multiples of 10:

$10 value = 1 entry
$100 value = 10 entries

Multiple entries are permitted per person and you may nominate one student per entry.

Auction prizes and sponsorships are subject to approval by One Tree Point School PTA to ensure suitability.

Prize Details:

The prize is a one-time school drop-off for one (1) student in a McLaren supercar, driven by an experienced licensed driver arranged by the competition organisers.

The drop-off will occur on a mutually agreed date and time, no later than December 5 2025, and will start from the winner’s home (within a 20km radius of their school) to their school in Bream Bay.

The prize is open to students at One Tree Point School, Ruakaka School, Bream Bay College and Waipu School.

The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or other alternatives.

Raffle Draw:

The raffle will close at 11.59pm on Thursday September the 18th 2025.
The winner will be randomly drawn on Friday the 19th September 2025, at the OTP School Fundraising event. The video of the draw will be posted on the One Tree Point School Facebook page.

The parents/guardians of the winner will be notified via phone or email and must respond within 7 days to claim the prize. If unclaimed, a new winner may be drawn.

General Conditions:

By entering, participants and their parents/guardians agree to these terms and conditions.

One Tree Point School PTA reserves the right to verify entries, disqualify fraudulent or invalid entries, or cancel the raffle if unforeseen circumstances arise.

The school and its partners (including ClickNCall) are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in the raffle or prize fulfilment, except where prohibited by law.

Personal information collected will be used solely for raffle administration and will not be shared with third parties without consent, in accordance with New Zealand privacy laws.

Compliance with Class 2 Gambling Rules:

This raffle is conducted by the One Tree Point School PTA as a Class 2 gambling activity under the New Zealand Gambling Act 2003. The total prize value is $790, and the turnover, including ticket sales, cash sponsorships, and the assessed monetary value of in-kind donations converted into entries, will not exceed $25,000.

All proceeds, after reasonable expenses, will be used to fund Bream Bay school projects including a new school bike track and learning resources at One Tree Point School. Fifty percent (50%) of the proceeds from each $10 raffle entry will be allocated to the participating school (One Tree Point School, Bream Bay College, Waipu School, or Ruakaka School) where the entry is purchased, to support their respective fundraising efforts (e.g., a $10 entry purchased at Waipu School will result in $5 allocated to Waipu School etc.).

The raffle is conducted solely for the benefit of the school communities and not for private gain.

Entry Process:

No physical or electronic raffle tickets will be issued. Participants can purchase entries ($10 per entry) at the school office of participating schools.

Participants must complete a provided form, including their contact details and the name of one nominated student per entry.

Entries must be purchased by a parent or guardian on the behalf of the student.

Suitability of Auction Prizes and Sponsorships:

All auction prizes and sponsorships must be approved by the One Tree Point School PTA. To be deemed suitable, donations must:

Be appropriate for a school community (e.g., no tobacco, gambling-related items, or anything promoting illegal or harmful activities).
Align with the values of One Tree Point School and participating schools (e.g., family-friendly, educational, or community-focused).
Have a verifiable monetary value for the purpose of assigning raffle entries (e.g., $10 value = 1 entry).

The OTP School PTA reserves the right to reject any donation or sponsorship deemed unsuitable at its sole discretion.

Random Draw:

The winner will be selected through a random draw conducted by the One Tree Point School PTA on Septmeber 18th, 2025. The draw will be video-recorded and posted on the One Tree Point School Facebook page for transparency.

Compliance with Other Laws:

This raffle complies with the Fair Trading Act 1986 and will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and used solely for raffle administration.

Publicity:

The winner and their guardian agrees to participate in reasonable publicity, including photos or videos of the prize drop-off. Parental consent will be obtained for minors.
